Transformational Leadership
I spent more than three decades leading teams, shaping operations, and guiding organizations through moments that required calm judgment and decisive action. My work took me across multiple industries and ultimately into senior leadership at Flowers Foods, where I focused on operational resilience, organizational transformation, and developing leaders capable of carrying the mission forward.
My approach was never complicated: Build strong people. Strengthen the system. Lead with clarity. Deliver with consistency.
That philosophy shaped every team I led and every program I built.
I stepped away from full‑time executive life with a deep sense of completion. I had the privilege of serving an organization I believed in, mentoring leaders I respected, and contributing to work that mattered. Retirement wasn’t an ending — it was a transition into a different kind of contribution.
Today, I advise selectively. I don’t maintain a roster, pipeline, or practice. I choose engagements based on the people, the mission, and whether my experience can genuinely help.
If I take on a project, it’s because I believe in the work and the team behind it.
Across my career, I became known for:
I don’t offer formulas or consulting packages. I offer perspective — the kind that comes from decades of real‑world experience, hard lessons, and meaningful wins.

These days, life is quieter and more grounded. I spend my time with my wife, Katherine, and our toy poodle, Stella. I walk, cook, travel, and enjoy the freedom of a schedule that belongs entirely to us. The pace is different — and exactly right.
I continue to advise because I enjoy helping leaders find clarity. I enjoy strengthening teams. I enjoy supporting organizations that are trying to do things the right way.
I enjoy advisory work that fits into this life when it aligns with my values and my experience. And I enjoy the work more now because I choose it intentionally.
If you believe your challenge or opportunity aligns with my background and philosophy, you’re welcome to reach out. I respond personally and selectively.
